What is wayoutmedia

Wayoutmedia is essentially one person (Helen Goss) based in Brighton UK. However at different times has involved many amazing people, its had an interesting and varied history, some of which I will write in years to come.

Wayoutmedia has been working with community organisations, schools, colleges, councils and people of all ages since 1995, teaching them the potential of the Internet and getting them to create their own multimedia content, websites and interactive mechanisms to communicate with their clients and contemporaries.

Wayout works with people to find out what they really need, training them how to create a suitable solution (website) that enables them to become independant from the 'web designer' updating and developing their communicating systems themselves.

I have worked on many groundbreaking projects such as:
  • The introduction of the Internet into Glastonbury in 1995, a technomadic demonstration on how to update your website in 'the field'
  • The introduction of the Internet and websites to the Museums and libraries service in Brighton and Hove
  • A Development Education Communications Project involving schools, teachers and pupils from Ghana and the UK
  • A Community Analysis Research Project looking at how/why communities use Social Networking to effectively get their message across and whther this enhances the community.
  • Currently I am working on a Creative Education Project in Schools teaching Teachers how to engage thier Students using the world of web 2.0, creating systems within schools where security and the saftey of the student is paramount.

This site will inform you of wayoutmedia's services and show you examples of the type of clients wayout has worked with and the projects and solutions we have been involved in.

Helen Goss is the main designer/developer for wayoutmedia, her experience has been building since 1994. She has worked with many people who are at the top of their field and as such, has gained much insight into the current trends and developments on the web.

Helen is used to translating the intricate workings of the web to clients so that they can see the best way to showcase their content. Because of her experience she can convey, with ease, clients needs to technical designers creating a bridge between the two different worlds.
